Laphroaig 58.2% (SMWS) Powerful, very nice nose with peat, tar and iodine. Also notes of mint and orange marmalade. Wonderful palate: at first rich, sweet and fruity with a note of mint, then suddenly very peaty (like walking into a cloud of peat smoke). Powerful yet beautifully balanced. Wonderful, peaty finish with a note of mint. Score: 91 p This is an example of what an SMWS bottle looks like. |
