Fragrant, rather nice nose with notes of vanilla, black pepper, oak shavings and marzipan. Sweet palate with vanilla and caramelized sugar. It's also oaky, peppery and powerful. Oaky, herbal, slightly flowery finish with notes of orange and honey. (Unusually balanced and complex for a rye whisky. From the Lawrenceburg distillery.)
