Ballantine's 17 y.o.:
Light nose (pre­dom­in­antly grain) with a nice fruitiness and a hint of peat. The palate is richer with more malt and very nice notes of tropical fruits, sawdust and liqourice. (86 p)

Ballantine's 21 y.o.:
Very nice, complex nose with a note of herbs. Fairly rich yet smooth palate with tropical fruits, also spicy with notes of oak and liqourice. Very nice, slightly peaty finish. (89 p)

Chivas Regal 18 y.o.:
Rich nose with very nice notes of tropical fruits but it's also a bit dry and bitter. The palate is milder than expected but gets richer. Dry, spicy, slightly dis­ap­point­ing finish. (86 p)

Chivas Royal Salute 21 y.o.:
Mild, fairly bal­anced with a very nice, fresh fruitiness (peach?) fading into a peaty, spicy finish with a note of cinnamon. (88 p)
